A gas geyser (instantaneous water heater) only heats water when you open a hot tap, so there is no tank sitting there losing heat all day. Most units use battery or water-flow ignition, which means you still get a hot shower during a power outage.
The right unit depends on how many hot taps might run at once. A small flat might need a 10–12 litre-per-minute unit, while a family home with two bathrooms usually needs something bigger. We'll look at your plumbing and recommend a size that won't leave you with a lukewarm shower.

What affects the price?
Every installation is different, so we quote after seeing the job. These are the main things that affect the cost:

Can I keep my electric geyser as a backup?
Yes. Many homeowners keep the electric geyser in place and switch it off, or plumb the gas geyser in series with it. We'll explain the options on site.
How long does installation take?
A straightforward installation is usually done in a day. More complex jobs with long gas runs or plumbing changes can take longer.
What size gas cylinder do I need?
Most homes use 48 kg cylinders for a geyser, often two with a changeover valve so you never run out mid-shower.
